Sandra Bullock, who is nominated for the Best Actress, pictured on Wednesday stocking up on health food and tissues ahead of Sunday's Academy Awards
So is Sandra Bullock going to do a Kate Winslet this weekend and walk away with the Best Actress gong at the Oscars?
Like her predecessor, Bullock won a Golden Globe last month and is hoping to top up her success with an Academy Award on Sunday for her film The Blind Side.
As the bookies' favourite (Ladbrokes are offering odds of 4/7), the 45-year-old is clearly making sure she is in good health for this weekend's proceedings
On Wednesday the star was spotted shopping at organic food store Whole Foods in Seal Beach in Orange County, California.
Her trolley was laden with bags emblazoned with the phrase 'Health Starts Here' and she also had a pack of 100% recycled toilet tissue, which will be helpful if she gets teary in the event of making an acceptance speech.
Bullock - who has never won an Oscar to date - faces competition from fellow nominees Meryl Streep (Julia and Julia), second favourite with odds of 7/4, followed by British hopeful Carey Mulligan, with odds of 9/1 for An Education.
Oscar nominated: Bullock as Leigh Anne Tuohy and Quinton Aaron playing Michael Oher in American football drama The Blind Side
Outsiders Gabourey Sidibe and Helen Mirren are also nominated for gritty drama Precious (20/1) and The Last Station (50/1) respectively.
Bullock stars as Leigh Anne Tuohy in American football Drama The Blind Side, set for release in the UK on March 12.
The film, which is also nominated for Best Motion Picture, follows the story of Michael Oher (played by Quinton Aaron), a homeless and traumatized boy who became an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick with the help of a caring woman (Bullock) and her family.
Competition: Meryl Streep and Carey Mulligan are also nominated in the Best Actress category
In the Best Actor category, Colin Firth is now sole second favourite to land the Best Actor Oscar, according to Ladbrokes.
The star of A Single Man is 8/1, from 9/1, but trails market leader Jeff Bridges (1/7, from 1/8).
Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: 'Firth has been the best backed selection this week. If it was down to the weight of money, the statuette would already be on his mantelpiece.'
The Hurt Locker is 5/6 to take Best Picture followed by Avatar in second place at 6/5.
