Security guards in yellow vests are shown standing and watching as a fight begins between two 15-year-old girls in a Seattle bus tunnel

A teenager whose brutal beating was captured on CCTV as security guards stood by and watched has provoked outrage across America.

The victim was repeatedly punched and kicked in the face during the horrific unprovoked assault.

Three uniformed security guards watched while the beating took place and failed to help the young girl.

Even as the 15-year-old victim laid motionless on the floor they did not bend down to see if she was badly hurt.

The savage attack - which was captured on CCTV cameras - has shocked America after it was played on news reports.

Bosses for the security guards said it was company policy for their employees to 'observe and report' and not get involved.

But TV stations and other media have been bombarded with outraged complaints about the guards' lack of action.

One outraged parent said:'Those security guards are just as guilty (if not more guilty) than the thug who did the beating.

'Those security guards should be tried. It looked like the girl went to them for support and protection, only to find that they had no spine.'

The victim, who has not been named, said she believed the security guards at a bus station in Seattle, Washington, would protect her.

'I went to the security and told them that these kids were trying to jump me,' the girl said in court papers.

'I know that I am about to get jumped and I am hanging around the guards to try and get protection. ... I thought the security guards would defend me.'

The girl said she had sought out the guards after an earlier altercation inside a department store with a gang of eight youths and two girls.

The 15-year-old, who is black, said the gang had said he was 'acting white' and had 'nice things'.

Police noticed the confrontation and kicked the gang out of the store while the victim and her friend went to the bus station.

CCTV cameras pick up the girl as she stands next to a uniformed security guard in the hope they will offer her some protection.

But after being attacked by another girl she is knocked to the floor where her attacker pummels her head with a flurry of blows.

When the victim loses consciousness the attacker continues to kick her in the head.
As the assault continues a security guard standing over the victim does not even try to intervene other than calling police.

Another guard turns away while a third further down the platform looks on.

The attacker walks away, but runs back to land one last kick on her victim's head while another member of the gang runs off with her bag containing a mobile phone and iPod.

Amazingly, the victim did not need hospital treatment.

She said in court papers that she suffers from a heart condition and was trying to protect her chest during the assault.

A woman who witnessed the assault from a bus said:'You've got three male security guards and there's a young girl getting kicked in the head, lying on the ground, motionless? And they couldn't do anything? Doesn't seem like security.'

A spokesman for Olympic Security said their guards have instructions not to get involved

But the owners of the bus station Metro Transit said they are reviewing their contract in light of the lack of action by their staff.

Seattle city officials have also demanded an inquiry.

'We are very disappointed in what people see in that video,' said Kevin Desmond, general manager of Metro Transit.

'It was absolutely unacceptable. I know the Olympic Security folks were also disappointed in the response, but again, the employees were following the letter of the agreement.'

Police used Facebook and MySpace pages to track down the gang and arrested four of those involved, including the alleged attacker.

Dominique Whittaker,18, has been charged with assault and faces up to two years in jail.

Two other youths have also been charged in connection with the assault

Step aside, Tiger. It’s been a long time coming, but 2NE1 is here now–to steal the year of 2010, that is.

After debuting with their first mini-album, the fierce foursome dispersed momentarily to pursue solo activities that were wildly successful in the music industry. On the 9th, 2NE1 surprised us all when they released their first single of the year titled Try To Copy Me out of the blue.

President of YG Entertainment Yang Hyun Suk stated, “Initially, there wasn’t going to be a music video for this song, but because of the positive reaction from the public, we are taking it into consideration. The official decision will be made by YG Entertainment’s music video producers and directors.”

Only three days after the song’s release, the hip-hop track has escalated at an alarming rate to the top, even surpassing senior artists like SNSD and 2AM on some music charts. SNSD, in particular, has maintained a consistent success rate ever since the “Gee Syndrome” so it was reasonably expected that they would dominate the early half of the year again. However, both the media and the public are now suspecting the power of nine may waver with 2NE1’s official comeback.

The story of Katherine and Damon as well as Stefan and Elena continues in 'A Few Good Men' while the undead will haunt a town in 'Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid'.

In the next "The Vampire Diaries", the passion, the romance, the mystery, the heat, the love and the danger return on March 25. The vampire series will take a five-week break in order to give the Winter Olympic its primetime slot and come back with the episode "A Few Good Men".

Meanwhile, Exec Producer Julie Plec offers to give some spoilers while the show is in hiatus. "MAJOR SPOILERS about to happen. Go twitter free if you don't want to know," she wrote on Thursday, February 11 night on her Twitter account.

Also disappearing from the screen for five long weeks is "Vampire" companion on Thursday, "Supernatural". When it returns, the Winchester brothers will fight flesh-eating zombies who want to turn the whole town into chew toys. One highlight seen in the preview is the appearance of Bobby's dead wife.

In season 3 episode "Dream a Little Dream of Me", it was revealed that Bobby got into hunting after witnessing the possession of his wife and killing her. He bears immense guilt for what he did to her, and has taken some sort of unwritten vow to become involved with the supernatural to prevent what happened to him from ever happening to anyone else.

'Celebrity Apprentice' 3 Given Two Sneak Peeks

Take a look at how the celebrities attempt to humor each other by either improvising or making fun of their real situation.

How intense "The Celebrity Apprentice" season 3 will be and how hilarious it is at the same time are shown in two new clips released by NBC. The promos mostly highlight on the performances of Cyndi Lauper, Sharon Osbourne and Rod Blagojevich.

The first two are in the same team called Tenacity while the politician is in team Rock Solid.

Coming March 14, the show will put battle of the sexes, splitting the men and women into two teams. In an appearance on Howard Stern's show last year, Sharon said that they would be selling burgers down in New York and Cyndi claimed she was the project manager.

From the look of the preview, this season will be less intense with the jokes even from Mr. Donald Trump himself. He told Cyndi, "You're a big believer in hair like I am right?" and she replied "yes" with a laugh. Later on she 'improvised' on the boardroom that a friend of her thinks Mr. Trump is sexy. The boss' son Donald Trump Jr. then asked, "How old is Edith" only to be shushed by his father.

The other celebrities who will play for charity are Brett Michaels, Darryl Strawberry, Holly Robinson Peete, Bill Goldberg, Maria Kanellis, Sinbad, Curtis Stone, Carol Leifer, Summer Sanders, Michael Johnson, and Selita Ebanks. "This season of Celebrity Apprentice is going to be fantastic. The list of celebrities we have this season is outstanding and the show will really resonate with our core viewers and fans," said Trump. "I expect this season of Celebrity Apprentice to be the best one yet."

The medical drama will explore the main characters' pivotal pasts in a flashback-heavy episode.

"Grey's Anatomy" will take a different route next week with a series of flashbacks to the time when the doctors of Seattle Grace decided to be life savers. In his new role as Chief, Derek restores the hospital lecture series, and Richard, Bailey and Callie present to the group pivotal surgical cases from their pasts.

Bailey reflects on her first days as a shy resident, Callie looks back on a polio case, and Richard recalls a case in which he and Ellis worked on a patient diagnosed with GRID, a virus later called AIDS. "The Time Warp" will air on Thursday, February 18.

J. August Richards and Sarah Paulson have been tapped to be the younger versions of Richard and Ellis respectively. The 1982 throwback will reveal how the previous Chief and Meredith's mom were involved in an affair.

Meanwhile in Bailey's part, she will be seen in early 2000s when she was still Mandy and under supervision of a character played by Missi Pyle. "We're going to see Bailey when she still called herself Mandy and had not yet learned to speak up," said creator Shonda Rhimes. "Mandy is Bailey's inner geek, and Chandra [Wilson] plays the Mandy of it all brilliantly."
